We work exclusively through direct enquiry. Simply use our contact form or email us at info@northernheritagetours.com with your travel dates, group size, and interests. We'll get back to you within 24 hours to begin planning your journey.

We recommend enquiring as early as possible — especially if you have specific dates in mind. Our most popular periods (May–September) tend to fill quickly. That said, we always try to accommodate last-minute requests where we can.

Absolutely. Every journey we create is shaped around you. Our Signature Collections provide a wonderful starting point, but we're equally happy to build something entirely from scratch. Tell us what matters to you and we'll do the rest. You can find out more on our bespoke itineraries page.

Full details of our booking terms and cancellation policy are provided at the time of booking. We aim to be as flexible and fair as possible — please don't hesitate to speak with us if you have any concerns.

Our private day tours include fully private guiding from York for up to 6 guests, all transport in a comfortable private vehicle, and Lee's expert commentary throughout the day. Entry fees to any attractions are not included in the base price but can be arranged in advance — just let us know.

Accommodation is not included in the published price for our Signature Collections, as we find guests prefer to choose where they stay. However, Emma is delighted to recommend and help arrange bookings at carefully selected hotels, B&Bs, or country house properties along the route.

Our tours are fully private — the vehicle and guide are exclusively yours. Day tours accommodate up to 6 guests. For larger groups or special requirements, please get in touch and we'll find the right solution.

Our private day tours depart from and return to York, which is superbly connected by rail and road. For our Signature Collections, we can arrange flexible pick-up points to suit your travel plans — just let us know when you enquire.

Northern England is beautiful in all weathers — and Lee knows how to make the most of every condition. In the rare event of severe weather affecting travel safety, we'll work with you to reschedule at no extra cost. A little rain only adds to the atmosphere.

We're committed to making our tours as inclusive as possible. Please let us know in advance about any mobility requirements and we'll tailor the itinerary and transport accordingly. Some of our most spectacular stops are fully accessible.
